After the fabulous success of the Val Garland and Roland & Shirley Cherry talks in 2024, Oxhill Village Hall is proud to host three more exciting presenters in 2025.

The first of these will be Peter Taylor, on 6th February. It's well known in Oxhill that Peter had the most extraordinary career in the motor industry. What is not so well known is that he was closely involved in the testing and development of some iconic cars and still holds the MIRA circuit record today!

Our second talk will be by Colin Hale, on 6th March. I'm not quite sure how to do this talk justice in a sentence or two as it involves not only building his own plane, but attempting to fly it around the world. That would usually be more than enough, but Colin managed to have plenty of adventures along the way which will have you on the edge of your seat!

The third in our talk series will be by Belinda Marklew on 24th April. Entitled 'Sailing the Roaring Forties', Belinda's talk will take us from start to finish of her time with the BT Global Challenge - the gruelling yacht race that goes the wrong way around the world (no, I didn't know there was a wrong way either!) and, thanks to horrendous weather and currents, is known as 'The World's Toughest Yacht Race.'

All talks start at 7pm and cost £8. Tickets are available from oxhillvh@gmail.com.
